39 crianças foram beneficiadas no Rio de Janeiro devido ao XII Mutirão Nacional de Cirurgia da Criança, organizado anualmente pela CIPE e suas regionais com o objetivo de reduzir as filas ambulatorias de cirurgia pediátrica. Participaram da ação no Estado, o Hospital Federal da Lagoa (13 pacientes), na capital fluminense, o Hospital Municipal Alcides Carneiro (16), em Petrópolis, e o Hospital Municipal da Mulher (10), em Cabo Frio.
A CIPERJ aproveita a oportunidade para agradecer cirurgiões pediatras, anestesistas, secretárias, enfermeiras, técnicos de enfermagem, instrumentadores, maqueiros, auxiliares de serviços gerais, entre outros, que dedicaram parte de seu tempo para participar desta ação solidária e ajudar as crianças.
